Angelfish laying eggs (Pterophillum scalare)

This is the scene we found today. We got just one pair of angelfish months ago and we got the luck to see that they are a couple.

Sadly this time we can't grow those eggs as we don't have the space and the time. But for the future it's good to know we have a couple of pretty angelfish.

In the other tanks we found some Platy fry, even in the small tank that it is very crowed. In the big tank they will have more chance as there are a lot of places to hide.

Mommy don't eat me please!!!

I have had the chance to see my Female Black lace Angel laid her eggs, but unfortunately the male was a bit too young to fertilise them. It is stunning the number of eggs they laid!!!!

In fact, it is a lot of work, because the fries need a lot of attention and special food! It is said that Angels can be good parents! They look after the fries. Is that true?

Oh platies are other members of my aquarium and yes they do have a lot of babies too!! I had a pair in blue and red shades. The babies ate about 20 and guess what! They are two-tones and some are even purple, some are one shade.

Really nice site!

Take care,
Isa
