20 gal cycled in 29 days

Today, after 29 days, the 20 gallon aquarium showed 0 Ammonia and 0 Nitrite. We have used the product Stability by Seachem since the 19th day until the 26th.

In the small 10 gal aquarium the Nitrite still is high, but on it 19th day we changed the power filter, so it may take longer to cycle now.

Armando...

depends on the situation on the nitrite level and how many fish and how often you change the filter like you said... if you have a lot of big fish in your tank of course you gonna have to clean it more often... i will put up mine on my Windows Live Spaces sometime this week... Hope you two are well.... :)

hi armando,

thanks for visiting and linking to my blog (numpty's), glad you like what i have. :-)

i read you are cycling two tanks. i too have had various sizes of tanks and found the one which took the longest to stabalize was the smallest at 20 litres, it took at least a 5 weeks for the ammonia and nitrate levels to drop to zero. i found a good way to speed the process up was to use some gravel and filter media out of an already established tank. if you don't have one then maybe your lfs could help with a couple of handfulls. =D

Nice aqua tank - I wouldn't being to guess on how to take care of one. Proably since they always remind me of the doctors office (growing up they always had one stocked in the waiting room.)

PS - You got my vote. :)
